Here are a few points from my perception of the teaching and learning processes:
  • Student-centered and problem-centered curriculum/instruction promote student engagement and responsibility.
  • Meaningfully crafted math and science lessons enhance collaboration, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills through real world applications and analysis methods.
  • Learning about the origins of critical educational constituents before the relative lesson/s promotes deeper understanding and higher levels of interest.
  • Through curiosity and collaboration, students develop a love for lifelong learning and adaptability. FEED THE CURIOSITY
  • One of the many rewards I get from being a teacher is seeing students use and build on their different types of thinking skills.
  • The term “critical thinking” is almost always used in a tautological manner, which tells me that the term itself has lost value.
  • Bloom's Taxonomy encourages deeper understanding of concepts and the skills to apply, analyze, and synthesize information. These themes are incorporated into my lessons and outlined in the image below.
